Firstly, Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope you have a great time. But Christmas is notoriously bad for people over-indulging and putting on loads of weight. Don’t make that mistake.
Of course you want to treat yourself at Christmas but if you go crazy it will only make you weight loss goals 10 times harder for the new year. So what can you do this yea to avoid the christmas bulge, whilst still enjoying yourself?
1/ Don’t get hungry! I know this sounds an unlikely one, but if you let yourself get too hungry, that’s when you are most likely to overeat and eat chocolates, biscuits, etc. Make sure you have a normal, substantial and healthy breakfast and you will be better equiped to resist the fatty foods!
2/ Careful where you sit! I know it sounds like a small point, but if you sit next to the box of chocolates all afternoon, you are likely to keep picking at them. So why temp yourself? At least if you have to get up every time to get 1 you will eat a lot less. So choose your seat carefully!
3/ Eat Slowly – This is not just a point for Christmas, but is particularly important at this time of year. If you wolf your dinner down, you will eat more than you need. Eat slowly and give your stomach the chance to tell you when it is full.
4/ Drink plenty of water – This will fill you body up a bit, and stop you eating as much food. And also if you have a glass of water every time you have an alcoholic drink, it will stop you drinking so much booze!
Today’s Takeaway – There is a 4 point plan to stop you packing on this pounds this Christmas. So make sure… Read more->

We hear a lot in the media about the importance of eating fresh foods. Obviously the fresher the food the healthier it is, but does ‘freshness’ really have an impact on your weight loss results?
Whether you gain weight or lose weight, is not simply down to the level of fat and calories you take into your body.
The form the food is in, is of equal importance. Basically, the fresher and more natural the food is the better.
Why? Because this way, the food contains more vitamins and minerals and has been tampered with less, i.e. had less/no preservatives, sweeteners, colourings, etc, added to it.
These ‘additions’ to products to increase their shelf life act as a toxin to your body. Any preservatives, sweeteners or colourings therefore will slow your metabolism down and result in more fat being stored in your body.
Conversely, if you eat fresh food and use the freshest of ingredients, none of these metabolism-slowing toxins will find their way into your body. This means you are only taking in the goodness from the food, eg. the vitamins and minerals which have the opposite effect; they increase the rate at which you burn fat.
Today’s Takeaway - Fresh food is a must for anyone looking to be healthy and lose weight. It allows your body to burn fat more quickly.

Do you want to be free from stomach flab? Have you spent many hours working hard in the gym, or following a restrictive diet to no avail? Well the following key rule really will make all the difference to getting a ‘free from flab’ stomach.
Work you abs and stomach in all 3 planes of movement.
Without boring you with details, there are ‘planes of movement’ in which you body can move.
1/ Forwards and Backwards
2/ Sideways
3/ Rotational
Have a think to yourself how many of the 3 planes you employ in your workouts. Most people will do plenty of forwards/backwards, perhaps a little sideways, and often no rotation whatsoever.
Why does it matter?
Your body wants to work in all 3 planes of movement, and will reward you with optimum fat loss and fitness results if you allow it to.
If you are only working 2 out of 3 of the planes of movement, you are limiting yourself to 66% of your potential results.
It really is as simple as that.
Today’s Takeaway – Make sure you work in all 3 planes of movement to be free from stomach flab. It won’t make your workout any harder, it just takes a little alteration and planning and your results will drastically improve.
