Ex-eastenders actress Hannah Waterman lost a fantastic 2 stones in 2 months recently. Check out the transformation below! Even better than losing the weight, she seems to be keeping it off. Hannah employed a specific form of training to burn the fat, so what’s her secret?
INTERVAL TRAINING. This is the method used to generate these fantastic results. Interval training can take many different forms, which I will go into, but basically it involves doing short bursts or exercise where you work as hard as you can. This is what stimulates your metabolism and gets you burning fat.
Example 1 – One way Hannah successfully used interval training was with running/jogging. Don’t panic if you hate running, you can use the following example for many other activities. You could jog for 2 minutes, then for 30 seconds increase the speed and work as hard as you can. Repeat this sequence 6-8 times. You could replicate this workout using a bike, cross trainer, rower. etc. The important thing is you work as hard as you can during the 30 second phase.
Example 2 – Do a varied workout, going from one exercise to the next in quick succession working as hard as you can. So you might do press-ups for 20 seconds, squats for 20 seconds, then sit-ups for 20 seconds, etc. You should do up to 5 minutes total workout before taking a rest. The good thing about this form of interval training, is you can design the workout so when one body part is tired you then work a different body part. This allows you to keep going for longer than example 1 would allow.
Today’s Takeaway - There are many different examples of interval training. But when used correctly, it can generate excellent fat loss results as Hannah Waterman has shown.

It has recently been argued that some celeb workouts, such as Madonna’s and Elle Macpherson’s, can do more harm than good. But is this really true?

People are always interested in what celebrities do to get fit/lose weight and try to emulate them. But more than likely these celebrities will have a trainer or trainers with them to make sure they are doing everything correctly. Most people don’t have this luxury and this leads to incorrect technique and over-training and injury.
The other problem with some celebrity workout routines is that they do not account for different abilities and levels of experience. Someone who has not exercised in 20 years is expected to do Madonna’s workout that she has spent 20/30 years training towards. It simply isn’t going to work, and as well as risking injury will lead people to get de-motivated when they can’t do it.
Today’s Takeaway – I would advise people to follow guidelines of trained professionals not celebrities when exercising. This will not only minimise the chance of injury but give you the best results.

Tess Daly has made an amazing transformation from pregnant lady to bikini beauty in just 10 weeks. But how on earth did she do it and what’s her secret?

Husband Vernon Kay posted this picture of Tess Daly in her bikini on Twitter, much to the amazement of most of us due to the fact she only gave birth to her second child 10 weeks ago.
What’s her secret?
1/ Tess continued to exercise and eat healthily during the pregnancy. This means not only did she avoid putting on too much weight whilst being pregnant, but she also put herself in a much better position to lose the weight after having the baby. I.e. She was still fit and in good shape so found exercising much easier than if she had done nothing during the pregnancy.
2/ She followed a strict diet, composed of ‘a lot of soups and salads.’ These two foods are clearly very low fat and helped Tess burn the excess pregnancy fat.
3/ She followed a’ regular weights program at the gym.’ No traditional cardio, just high intensity weights and circuit training.
So that’s how Tess did it, you can too!
Today’s Takeaway- Tess Daly didn’t get out of shape during her pregnancy and that was the key to her fast return to her bikini body figure. So keep your exercise and healthy diet going during pregnancy and you will have a quick return to your normal shape too.
